Room blocks

Room block function in *evolution hotel software allows blocking rooms from sale for different reasons.

  • Different blocks for different cases.
    • Rooms stopped for sale because of serios technical problem;
    • Rooms stopped for economy from heating
    • Rooms set aside for house use
    • Rooms not advisable for check-in due to minor problems
    • All these cases can be managed successfully with the Room block function. Different blocks affect hotel occupancy differently and modify the key indicators in a different manner (Occupancy %, RevPar, etc.)
  • Multiple rooms blocks. Set and cancel more than one block at once.
  • Visible from interactive room plans. Blocks are presented in the visual room plans and can be modified directly from there.

Housekeeping

  • On-line information about clean, dirty and blocked rooms.
  • Rooms maintenance and supply schedules. Define standard maintenance schedule containing the procedures for cleaning and preparing rooms for guests, which allows creating individual task sheets for each housekeeper. The system supports different maintenance schedules for different Arrangers, if such are needed.
  • Special requests. Each booking allows individual special requests for the preparation of the room. Special requests can also be registered in the guest profile and be automatically transferred to each booking of the respective guest.  
  • Supplies cost calculation. Calculate the cost of operations and materials for a specified period.
  • Room blocks. Two types of room blocks – Out of Order and Out of Inventory, each being considered differently in the occupancy monitoring and the operation indicators.  A variety of user-defined block reasons and notes for repairs instructions.  
  • Automated status update. Change the status of a room via the phone exchange without the intervention of an operator.
  • Automated mini bar posting. Post mini bar consumption directly on the guest account vie a suitable interactive TV system.
  • Status change at check-out. Change the status of the room automatically on check-out.
